The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating what is being described as a possible double homicide in the 3900 block of Country Trails.
Deputies responded to a call at approximately 7:30 a.m. regarding unresponsive individuals. Upon arrival, they found two victims—a man and a woman—inside the residence. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Law enforcement has not yet disclosed the identities of the deceased or details about how they died.

“This is usually such a safe area. I’m shocked something like this could happen here,” said a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous. “We’re all locking our doors and checking in on each other.”
No Threat to Public, Authorities Say
Despite the grisly discovery, authorities have reassured the public there is no immediate threat to the surrounding community. However, they have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any unusual activity.
“While we believe this was an isolated incident, our detectives are working tirelessly to determine the circumstances surrounding these deaths,” said Lt. Joe Silva during a press briefing.
