A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Thursday night in west suburban Geneva, where two people, including a 13-year-old boy, lost their lives in a domestic violence situation.
It all started around 8 p.m. when Geneva police received a distress call about a deadly domestic dispute on Emma’s Way in the Emma’s Landing neighborhood. When officers arrived, they discovered two victims in critical condition. Despite being rushed to nearby hospitals, they sadly passed away.
Among the victims was a young boy, just 13 years old. He was pronounced dead at Loyola University Medical Center, leaving his family and community in shock.
Police quickly took a man into custody at the scene, and he is currently being held for questioning. The suspect, who has not been identified, is facing serious charges—four counts of first-degree murder. The Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office is pushing for him to remain behind bars before his trial.
While authorities haven’t shared all the details yet, the community is left grappling with this unimaginable tragedy. Our thoughts are with the victims’ families as they navigate this painful loss.
This sad event serves as a stark reminder of how important it is to address and prevent domestic violence.
