Mt. Vernon Rotary meets at new location
The Mt. Vernon Rotary held their first meeting of the year at noon on Tuesday, January 7 at their new location of Crossroads Hospital. The club wants to thank Crossroads for providing a weekly meeting space. Since the Club had a new meeting place for their first meeting day of the new year, President Megan Schmidt thought it would be a good time to go over some Rotary knowledge. Rotary is an international membership organization made up of people who share a passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the world. Rotary clubs exist in almost every country. The members change lives locally and connect with the other clubs to work on international projects that address today’s most pressing challenges.
Schmidt and Mary Harvey presented to the club what Rotary is about and asked some of the members of the board and past presidents to share with the Club what is special to them about Rotary.
If you have a desire to be part of an organization that is ready to do good, then you need to check out the Rotary Club. You can find them on Facebook under Mt. Vernon Rotary Club or look up one of the Board of Directors pictured in the photo.
