Politically Speaking: August 24, 2021
This last week has been nothing more than a nightmare, leaving our country humiliated, thanks to Joe Biden and the current administration. Members of the military would agree, and have said as much.
The Taliban is now the best equipped terrorist group in the world due to Biden’s handling of the departure out of Afghanistan, leaving a cache of weapons along with reportedly 158 Blackhawks. That’s more than most countries have.
I’m not a military expert, but it seems to me that if we would have executed the departure of our American troops, American civilians and Afghans that helped us prior to the Taliban takeover instead of after the fact, there wouldn’t have been 15,000 Americans trapped behind and thousands of others scrambling for their very lives.
I find it heartbreaking just to think about what these people are going through. God help them all, especially the women, children, and Christians. Americans are being told to hunker down. This is a human tragedy!
Just one of the latest reports I’ve gotten is the Taliban is now stationed at all airport entrances. They have set up checkpoints everywhere and are checking everyone’s cell phones for any conversations in English.
As reported on Fox, the Taliban is going house to house hanging people who worked with the U.S.
We’ve been in Afghanistan for 20 years. In my opinion, it’s been way too long, but this wasn’t the way to depart. Joe Biden created the biggest American hostage situation we’ve ever seen. People are being executed in the streets, and Biden said it was inevitable. Really!
All this leaves Biden to negotiate with the Taliban. My call is to impeach Biden and Harris now!
So where was Biden when this started coming down? At Camp David on vacation, of course. Yet Biden defends his Afghanistan policy amid mounting criticism of the withdrawal. He said, “I stand squarely behind my decision.”
Personally, I realize there was never a good time to withdraw U.S. forces. However, I will always believe there was a better way to handle the withdrawal.
Last Saturday Biden made the statement he was washing his hands of Afghanistan. This statement needs to go down in history as one of the most shameful speeches by a Commander in Chief at such a moment of American retreat. I call that “Biden’s Afghanistan Surrender.”
As the White House goes silent, has there ever been a worse President and Vice President? But at least you don’t have to deal with mean tweets.
In my opinion, Biden owns this one completely!
The way things were done, as Rich Lowry of the National Review put it, “The outcome was utterly predictable. Indeed, anyone who knew anything about the border or Afghanistan warned what would happen.”
Please be aware the complete disorder and confusion continues to change by the moment in Afghanistan and what could happen is totally unpredictable.
As of press time, the Pentagon ordered 18 commercial planes sent to Kubal to help rescue people.
Until next week.
