The C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library in Mt. Vernon offers a variety of classes and special presentations. Below are some of their upcoming events.

Creative Coloring & Watercolors for Adults
With the Library’s user friendly materials you can create your own artwork. Join them for Wonderful Watercolors and Creative Coloring on the second Tuesdays of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. Coloring sheets, colored pencils, crayons, watercolors and paintbrushes will be provided. Call 618-242-6322 ext. 2 to register for this program.

Teen Art Workshop
Create your own art. Join the group for coloring and watercolors on the second Wednesdays of the month, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Materials will be provided. The workshops will be held in the second floor Teen Area.

I-Cash and I-Check
The state owes over $1,000,000 dollars to residents of Jefferson County. Find out about money the state owes you from 9 a.m. to Noon, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on October 18.

Monthly Take-and-Make Craft Kits
Enjoy making crafts to decorate your home, to give as gifts or just for fun? Pick up a craft kit to make at home starting in October on the first Wednesday of every month. Kits are for ages 13-18 and 19 and up. They can be picked up at the second floor reference desk. First come, first serve.
