United Way Little Free Food Pantry in Bluford

As United Way fights for the education, income, and health of the communities they serve, various Little Free Food Pantries have been placed in surrounding communities to provide essential and accessible food items to those in need. In partnership with the Village of Bluford, a pantry was recently placed at Village Hall in Bluford, IL to be utilized by their community. It is United Way’s hope that these pantries provide a convenient way for community members to obtain necessities by coming and going as they please. Citizens are encouraged to re-stock the pantry as they see fit, using the caring power of communities to keep the project thriving.
This project was made possible by support from SSM Health Illinois, U of I Extension, No Kid Hungry, Mt. Vernon and Webber High Schools, local 4-H clubs and FFA classes, and various surrounding organizations and communities. A special thanks goes out to Webber High School FFA for the building of this impactful and innovative resource. For more information, contact nat@uwsci.org.
