Spero hosts Mt. Vernon downtown cleanup
Join Spero Family Services at the Innovation Hub (formerly US Bank building) on Friday, April 7, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Spero staff will be cleaning up around the square and putting up blue ribbons for Child Abuse Prevention Month.
All who attend are asked to wear blue in recognition of Go Blue Day and child abuse prevention month. Wearing blue connects you with millions of others across the country who support child abuse prevention efforts, strong families, and healthy children. Wearing blue also shows that you believe that – “All children deserve a great childhood because our children are our future!” It is the hope that wearing blue can raise awareness and encourage others to support child abuse prevention month.
This downtown clean up is just one of the ways Spero Family Services will be celebrating National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Spero Community Programs will be hosting the 8th annual Family Fun Night on the top of the parking garage of the Innovation Hub on Thursday, April 13th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. This is a free event for the public. Spero Community Programs will be hosting this family fun event which will feature carnival style games, food, prizes and a car seat safety check in partnership with Project Child.
