Shumway Freedom House Food & Clothing Pantry

Shumway Freedom House Food & Clothing Pantry will have it’s big Saturday give away both Saturday, Feb. 27th and Saturday, March 26th from 8:30a.m. to noon. We also give food away on special Tuesdays and Wednesdays based on how many is in your family so everyone needs to bring a couple of large boxes! March dates are: Tuesdays: March 1st & 8th from 4-6 p.m. Wednesdays: March 9th & 16th from noon to 2 p.m.

Examples of items to be handed out for March are: Several meat choices, laundry soap, dairy products, soap & shampoos, fresh vegetables, diapers, and canned & box goods. It’s recommended that you bring a large laundry basket because they are sturdier then boxes. Everyone leaves with approximately 50 lbs. of groceries. We even have an abundance of hair products & nail polish plus Meow Mix for your cat! Clothes for all ages too!

There are no qualifications to receive groceries. We do not check incomes. Shumway Freedom House Food & Clothing Pantry is located at the old grade school in Shumway (304 Southwest street). We ask that you call Dawn at: 217-240-1736 to make your free appointment.
