MPA honors Lori Demijan
The Murray Parents Association honored Lori Demijan with the Dr. Plassman award on Saturday, February 25, 2023. The ceremony was held at the Eagle’s Nest in Addieville. Lori’s family attended the ceremony along with Representative Charlie Meier, who spoke of Lori’s dedication to the individuals who call Murray Center home. MPA President Rita Winkeler read a statement honoring Lori for the care and concern she exhibited for the Murray individuals and families as the center director from December 2019 to December 2022. Lori became the center director just a few months before one of the most stressful times in the history of Murray Center — the COVID pandemic. The Plassman award is given to those individuals who have made outstanding contributions towards helping to improve the lives of those with disabilities.
