KC Holiday Choir Concert to be held on December 1

The Kaskaskia College Holiday Choir Concert will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 7:00 p.m. in Kaskaskia College’s Jane Knight Auditorium. The concert features the High School Honor Choir, KC Concert Choir, KC Blues, and the Community Chorale under the direction of KC Professor Lynda Marshall, accompanied by Barb Roberts and Karley Heiple on piano, plus Viki Loomis as narrator.

Honor Choir Highlights will include:
“Bidi Bom,” by David Eddleman, “Domine fili unigentite” from Gloria, by Antonio Vivaldi, and “Noel,” by Todd Smith.

KC Concert Choir Highlights will include:
“Hanerot Halau,” arranged by Michael Berg Raunick and Garrett Breese, “A Joyous Carol of the Bells,” by Mykola Leontovich, and “Yodel Choir,” arranged by Stephen Coker.

KC Blues Highlights will include:
“A Muppet Christmas Carol Medley,” by Paul Williams, “I Wonder as I Wander,” arranged by Jennaya Robison, and “Pasko Na Naman!,” by Felipe P. de Leon.

Community Chorale Highlights will include:
“A Ketterling Carol,” by J. David Moore, “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” arranged by PTX and Ben Bram, “Let There Be Peace on Earth,” by Sy Miller and Jill Jackson Miller, and “Children, Go Where I Send Thee,” arranged by Kevin Phillip Jackson.

“O Holy Night,” by Adolphe Adam will be performed with a combination of the choirs.

The concert is free and open to the public.
