JCHS to hold 5th annual Strawberry Festival

The Jefferson County Historical Society will present their Strawberry Festival, Plant Sale and Cruise-In from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 This is the fifth annual Strawberry Festival to be held at the Historical Village. Fresh strawberry desserts and pulled pork sandwiches will be available for purchase. A large variety of plants will also be available at incredible prices. New this year, a few vendors will be set up.
The Cruise-In will be located behind the Village by the red barn. If you are interested in participating in the Cruise-In, contact Brian Burwell at 618-246-6622. The entry fee will be by donation.
“The strawberry desserts are amazing and every year we sell out. You can’t beat the price on the plants that come from local gardens. All the buildings and cabins will be open to tour and our feature is Drug Stores and Soda Fountains, said Dana Uhls, Community Relations Specialist.
