First Baby Girl Born During Girl Scout Week

 The first baby girl born during Girl Scout Week to parents living in Jefferson County was:
Mariam Francis Engel, born at 3:12 AM on March 7, 2016.
Parents are Caleb & Abby Engel & this is their first child. The Engel family lives in Woodlawn, IL.
Grandparents are: Tom & Beth Hassler of Woodlawn, IL & Harold & Shana Engel from Kirksville, Mo.Abby Hassler Engel was a Girl Scout in Jefferson County and her mother, Beth Hassler, was her leader. We had a strong G.S. presence in Woodlawn at the time and Beth Hassler was part of the reason why.

Looks like we will have another generation of Girl Scouts from this fine family!
