Cultural Society presents Spring Concert

What a great concert it was… attended by a large audience, at the Centralia Cultural Society on Sunday evening, May 1.
The Annual Spring Concert, A Classical Spring, conducted by Mathew Webster from Iuka, was performed by the Philharmonic Orchestra opened with A Festival Prelude by Alfred Reed and included classics like The Merry Widow Waltz by F. Lehar, arranged by Robert Bennett Brown, were among the classics played, and ended with El Relicario by Jose Padilla, arranged by Merle J. Isaac.
Refreshments followed the evening featuring Baklava from Apollo’s Cafe Greek-American Eatery in Salem.

Pictured is special guest five-year-old Colton Stephenson, son of Brock and April. He’s been playing the violin since he was three, he proudly explained.
