City of Centralia to hold special meeting
The City of Centralia Mayor and City Council is pleased to announce that a conditional offer of employment has been made to Mr. Scott Randall as Centralia’s next City Manager. The offer is contingent on Council approval of an employment agreement with him, which will be considered at a Special Meeting to be held by the City Council on Tuesday, August 31.
Mr. Randall was selected after a nationwide recruitment effort. There were 20 resumes submitted to the Mayor and City Council which were from across the United States. The 20 submissions were narrowed to 5 extremely experienced candidates. Those candidates were then reviewed further and interviewed multiple times by the City Council over the course of the past month.
Mr. Randall is an ICMA Credentialed Manager. He has more than forty years of public and not-for-profit sector, executive management experience. His experience includes twenty years of experience as a City Manager in five communities that includes extensive experience in Illinois.

Scott brings over twenty years of successful city management experience and the Council is confident that he has the ability to enhance the quality of life in Centralia and make an impact in many areas. His career in local government is highlighted by and recognized for his understanding of economic needs and he will be a great asset to Centralia.”
