Brehm Library summer reading program

C.E. Brehm Memorial Public Library in Mt. Vernon is offering Summer Reading 2021 which provides a context for exploring humanity, nature, culture, and science, as well as expanding your world through kindness, growth, and community. Patrons are encouraged to be creative, try new things, explore art, and find beauty in diversity.

Registration begins June 1 and lasts through July. All Jefferson County residents ages 3-109 are welcome to sign up. Visit mtvbrehm.beanstack.org to enroll. All programs will be at 2 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

These activities can be done from home all summer long: B.A.R.K. (Be a Reading Kid), Clever Crafting with Creativebug, Book Tasting, Blessing Bags, Art Around the World, Something to Squawk About, Take and Make Fridays, Color a Smile, Color in the Universe, Summer Movie Nights, Eat the Rainbow, Colorful Gardening, Culture Club, Galleries Now, Science Behind Color, and Kindess Rocks!
