Bradford Set to Leave for New Leadership Role
After several years of serving as President of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Jeremy Bradford will be leaving the organization to fulfill a leadership position as President and CEO of CalvertHealth in Prince Frederick, Maryland.
Jeremy began his career with SSM Health as Region Vice President of Operations and transitioned into his role as President in early 2019. During Jeremy’s tenure with SSM Health, he has led many successful operational and growth initiatives, including the opening of the Weight Management and Metabolic Center, the renovation of the Oza Cancer Center, the addition of the Hybrid OR-12, the addition of the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and the development of the Kaushal Pediatric Clinical Decision Unit. In addition, he has also represented Good Samaritan Hospital by serving on several Boards, including the SMGSI Board of Directors, the Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation Board, and several other Joint Venture Boards. Jeremy also led his team and the hospital through several accreditation surveys, site visits, and operational transitions while navigating the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Through the years, Jeremy has played a key support role in the Mt. Vernon community, serving on several boards and committees, including the Jefferson County Economic Development Commission (JCDC) and Mt. Vernon Rotary West, as well as partnering with Park Avenue Food Pantry, Family Life Shelter, and Cedarhurst Center for the Arts. He also has impacted the broader region of Southern Illinois by serving as a Board Member for the Illinois Health and Hospital Association (IHA).

Jeremy’s last day will be Friday, December 23, 2022. Michael Baumgartner, current SSM Health Illinois Regional President will assume the role of President of Good Samaritan Hospital.
