B.C.M.W. farmer’s market coupons for seniors

B.C.M.W. Project B.R.E.A.D., in conjunction with Midland Area Agency on Aging and the Illinois Department on Aging, began taking applications for coupons redeemable at the Farmer’s Market in Centralia, Mt. Vernon and Salem on Monday, July 25, 2022. Applications will be done on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19, applications will only be done over the phone through the main office. Eligibility requirements are as follows: must be age 60 or older and be at 185% of the federal poverty level or less. A short application process is required to obtain the coupons and they will be done over the phone.
When the application is complete, you will be given a time to come to the office to sign the application and pick up the coupons. If you are unable to come to the office, you can designate a proxy to pick them up for you. The proxy must bring a photo ID. You will need to call 618-532-7388 Ext. 117 to do the application. If you get voicemail, leave a message and your call will be returned as soon as possible. They will distribute the coupons until they are gone. Coupons can be redeemed at any registered Farmer’s Market until October 31, 2022.
Must meet income guidelines according to family size and 30 day income as follows: 1, $2,096; 2, $2,823; 3, $3,551 ;4,$4,279; 5, $5,006; 6, $5,734; 7, $6,462; 8, $7,189.
