July 18, 2016
The Kaskaskia College Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Program recently held its Annual Advisory Board Meeting. The meeting was led by KC Professor Mark Kohnen.

The annual meeting was held and discussion centered on the need for students entering the workforce. Employers stressed the need for finding students who can do a job from beginning to end. Discussion also included past donations to the program and materials and equipment needed for the future.

Discussion was also held on if employers see the value in national accreditation and the fact that Kaskaskia College is looking into applying for national accreditation through HVAC Excellence. This would offer possible benefits for students entering the workforce as many employers desire for employees with experience.
