Jeff Jensen Inducted Into KC Athletic Hall of Fame
Kaskaskia College is pleased to announce that former baseball player Jeff Jensen was recently inducted into the KC Athletic Hall of Fame.
Jeff played baseball for the Kaskaskia College Blue Devils from 1981-83. His career stats include 113 games started, 781 innings played with 349 at bats, 108 hits, 65 runs, 83 RBI’s including 69 singles, 17 doubles, 3 triples, and 19 home runs. Jeff had 62 strike outs, 7 sacrifice bunts and finished his career with a batting average of .309, an on base average of .413 and a fielding percentage of .970.
Jeff was also a member of the Blue Devils basketball team and was named Co-Male Athlete of the Year in 1983. Jeff earned his Associate in Arts Degree at KC before attending Southeast Missouri University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education.
Jeff has enjoyed recognition as a 2006 Centralia High School Hall of Fame inductee and in 2013 KC Hall of Fame inductee with the 1981-82 KC Baseball Team.
He is a past president of the Fredericktown Chamber of Commerce, and was co-owner of Barrett Jensen Chevrolet and Barrett Jensen Automotive from 1998-2017. He is currently a Regional Sales Manager for Cox Automotive/Dealertrack Technologies. Previously, Jeff taught and coached for the Orchard Farm School District and was Chairman of the Missouri Automotive Dealers Association in 2014.
Jeff and his wife Mary Jo are the proud parents of two children, a son Reed and a daughter Ellie. He is the son of Roger and Louise Jensen of Centralia.
