The highly anticipated second season of The Last of Us is set to premiere this April on Max. A new teaser, revealed during the CES tech conference in Las Vegas, offers fans a glimpse of the expanded cast and the intense drama to come.
In this teaser, viewers are introduced to new characters from the video game, including Abby (played by Kaitlyn Dever), Dina (Isabela Merced), and Isaac Dixon (Jeffrey Wright). Abby’s voiceover sets the tone: “It doesn’t matter if you have a code like me. There are just some things everyone agrees are just wrong.”
The teaser shows Abby walking cautiously down a dark hallway with a siren blaring, holding a gun and looking over her shoulder. It concludes with Ellie, played by Bella Ramsey, walking through what seems to be the same hallway, her gun also drawn. A poignant moment features Abby crying over a grave, hinting at her deeply personal quest for vengeance, which ultimately brings her into conflict with Ellie.
Ellie and Dina share a tender scene, slow-dancing together before being forced to flee from a swarm of infected. Dina is portrayed as a free spirit and Ellie’s love interest, adding emotional depth to the storyline.
