Taylor Swift Fans Can’t Get Enough of Exclusive ‘Lover’ Vinyl Release!

Taylor Swift Drops Special Vinyl Collection to Start the New Year

Taylor Swift fans were treated to a surprise merch drop this week as the superstar kicked off the new year with a special vinyl release. On Tuesday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT, Swift’s marketing team, Taylor Nation, sent a simple tweet with the emoji “💘” to their 3.3 million followers, hinting at the upcoming release. This emoji, featuring a heart with an arrow, signaled the arrival of a limited-edition vinyl priced at $39.99, or $57 after tax and shipping.

Ninety minutes later, the Taylor Nation account followed up with a full announcement: “Attention everyone who leaves the Christmas lights up till January! Lover (Live From Paris) special edition heart-shaped vinyl is here for 72 hours or while supplies last! Get one for you or your lover at http://store.taylorswift.com.”

The vinyl marks the third version of Swift’s “Lover” concert to be released on vinyl. In September 2019, Swift held an intimate one-hour concert for 2,000 fans in Paris. The “Lover Fest” tour, which was meant to include four stadium shows in Boston and Los Angeles that summer, was unfortunately canceled due to the pandemic.

This latest release features two heart-shaped records, available as a special edition. The original “Lover” concert vinyl was first released on May 19, 2020, through Republic Records, and a limited-edition reissue was made available on her website on February 14, 2023. These vinyls have proven to be highly sought after, with some listings on eBay priced upwards of $1,100.

Swift’s “Lover” special concert was also released as a 42-minute special on Disney+ in May 2020, showcasing acoustic performances of eight songs, including “Me!”, “The Archer”, and “Lover”.

Fans eager to get their hands on the new vinyl have faced high demand, with some reporting waits of over 10 minutes after adding the record to their virtual cart. The albums are available through Friday at 11:59 a.m. ET or while supplies last, with a four-album limit per customer.
