School of Rock Co-Stars Say ‘I Do’ as Cast Reunites for Wedding Celebration

Two child actors from School of Rock, Caitlin Hale and Angelo Massagli, have married after first meeting on the set of the film when they were 10 years old. The couple, both 33, got married on January 4, 2025, in a ceremony attended by their co-stars. Jack Black, who starred in the film, sent the couple a “generous” video message to celebrate their special day.

Hale and Massagli were part of the 2003 film, where Jack Black played a struggling musician who turns a class of school kids into a rock band. Hale played Marta, the band’s backup singer, while Massagli was Frankie, the tough security guard. The movie also featured other young stars, some of whom were in high school or middle school at the time.

Massagli shared that he was immediately impressed by Hale when they met during auditions in New York City. “I thought she was really something special,” he said in an interview. After the film was released, both Hale and Massagli stepped away from acting to pursue other careers. Hale became an OB-GYN ultrasound technologist, while Massagli is now a lawyer working for TikTok.

The cast of School of Rock stayed in touch after filming, often chatting in a group chat. However, it wasn’t until 2018 that Hale and Massagli reconnected when they found out they were both studying in Florida. What started as a casual lunch to catch up turned into something more. Hale said she quickly realized Massagli was the one for her, telling a friend, “I think I’m going to marry this guy.”

The couple got engaged in June 2023, and in January 2025, they had a big wedding celebration. Their School of Rock co-star Rivkah Reyes even shared footage of the wedding on TikTok. At the wedding, the couple and their guests danced to “Edge of Seventeen” by Stevie Nicks, referencing a famous scene from the movie.

Nine of their co-stars attended, along with their families. Hale described the event as a “time capsule moment” as they reminisced about their time together on set. Although Jack Black couldn’t attend because of filming commitments, he sent the couple his best wishes, sharing generous words of support.

This heartwarming story is a reminder of the lasting friendships and connections made through the beloved film School of Rock.
