Christina Haack Claps Back at Josh Hall Over ‘The Flip Off’ Drama

Christina Haack and her estranged husband, Josh Hall, are making headlines for their public feud following the release of a preview for HGTV’s upcoming show The Flip Off. The promo captures tense moments between the pair, who were still together during filming but have since announced their split.

Josh Hall shared his frustrations on social media, criticizing HGTV for what he called “manufactured drama” in the series. Posting on Instagram Stories, he shared a promo article and sarcastically commented on how the network seemed to rely on tension between them. Hall wrote, “When you can’t get enough ratings with celebrity home designers, so you rely on manufactured drama with me, a nobody. HGTV, you’ve changed.”

Christina Haack quickly responded, denying the accusations and claiming the drama was far from manufactured. In her own Instagram Story, she shared a screenshot of Hall’s post and added, “Manufactured?! Pretty sure no one at HGTV told you to be rude to me… That was all natural.” She also backed up her claim with a photo taken during filming, showing her emotional state after a difficult shoot with Hall. She noted the date, June 21, 2024, as proof that the tension was real, adding, “This is ‘real’ and a reminder to myself that I deserve better.”

The Flip Off, premiering January 29 on HGTV, features Haack competing alongside Hall against her ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa, and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa. While the show aims to showcase home-flipping skills, it has also documented the personal struggles between Haack and Hall. In the recently released preview, the friction between the estranged couple is evident.

In one scene, Hall pushes the competitive nature of the show, telling Haack, “This is a competition. You gotta pull out all stops. Whatever it takes to win, I’ll do it.” He follows up with, “Hall’s rule!” but is visibly annoyed when Haack doesn’t seem enthusiastic. He reminds her, “You’re a Hall now. Don’t get confused in this competition about what your last name is.” When Haack remains quiet, Hall accuses her of being rude, sparking further tension.

The preview also includes Hall’s blunt comments about Haack, stating, “You know how much sh** you say, and I’m just like, ‘I wish she’d shut up already.’” Later, he is heard saying, “My wife is pissing me off already.” The clip culminates with Haack revealing to her ex-husband, Tarek, that she and Hall had decided to part ways.

The upcoming series promises a mix of competition and personal drama, with Haack and Hall’s strained relationship adding an unexpected layer to the show’s dynamic.
