Two Wichita Residents Face Charges for Robbing Kansas Banks

A man and woman from Wichita, Kansas, have been charged in connection with a series of bank robberies involving a firearm, according to federal court documents.

Zane Tilcock, 20, and Emily Wise, 18, both from Wichita, are facing charges related to multiple bank robberies that occurred in December 2024. Tilcock is facing three counts of bank robbery, while Wise is charged with one count.

Tilcock allegedly committed three robberies at separate locations using a firearm. The first occurred on December 11, 2024, when he is accused of robbing Intrust Bank, located on South Webb Road in Wichita. A second robbery took place on December 16, when he allegedly targeted Emprise Bank on East Harry Street in Wichita. Tilcock is also accused of robbing Sunflower Bank on North Jefferson Street in Junction City on December 27, 2024.

Emily Wise is accused of robbing Emprise Bank in Wichita on December 16, the same day as one of Tilcock’s alleged robberies. The two incidents are believed to have occurred in close proximity to one another.

The case is being investigated by several law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wichita Police Department, Junction City Police Department, and the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office. These agencies are collaborating to gather evidence and build the case against the suspects.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kari Burks is handling the prosecution of the case.

It’s important to note that an indictment is simply an accusation, and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The legal process will determine their guilt or innocence beyond a reasonable doubt.

This case highlights the efforts of local and federal law enforcement agencies in tackling violent crimes and ensuring that suspects are held accountable for their actions. The investigation is ongoing, and further developments are expected as the case progresses through the judicial system.
