A 23-year-old man, Kyle Chester De Los Reyes, has been charged with three counts of murder in connection to a devastating triple stabbing at a Baldwin Park home. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office has also filed special allegations of the use of a deadly weapon.
The victims, identified by the coroner’s office, were 44-year-old Rona Nate, 8-year-old Mia Chantelle Narvaez, and a 16-year-old boy. They were found with multiple stab wounds to the upper body on December 26.
De Los Reyes, who is related to the victims and lived at the residence, was apprehended shortly after Baldwin Park police arrived at the scene. Witnesses saw him flee the house and drive away, leading to his detention as a person of interest before his arrest.
District Attorney Nathan Hochman emphasized that his office will relentlessly pursue justice for this heart-wrenching act of violence. “Violent crime not only robs us of innocent lives but also threatens the very fabric of our community,” Hochman stated. “Let this be a clear message: those who commit heinous acts of violence will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbings, and De Los Reyes’ arraignment is scheduled for January 15. The case remains under close scrutiny as the Baldwin Park community seeks answers.
