    Tragedy in Long Beach: Police Seek Gunman in Fatal Carmelitos Shooting

    Police are asking for help from the community to identify and find the person responsible for a deadly shooting in Long Beach on Tuesday afternoon.

    The tragic incident happened around 1:15 p.m. in the 900 block of Via Carmelitos, located in the Carmelitos neighborhood, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

    When officers got to the scene, they found a man who had been shot several times. Sadly, the victim, 32-year-old Dwayne Walton, was pronounced dead right there.

    Right now, detectives haven’t made any arrests and don’t have any information about a suspect or why this happened. The investigation is ongoing, and they’re hoping someone who knows something will come forward.
