Steve Guttenberg Joins Heroic Efforts Amid Palisades Fire as Flames Ravage Los Angeles

Los Angeles faced a fiery ordeal as the Palisades Fire erupted, forcing thousands of residents to evacuate their homes in the affluent Pacific Palisades area. Among those stepping up to help was actor Steve Guttenberg, known for his roles in Police Academy and Three Men and a Baby.

The wildfire, which began Tuesday morning and rapidly spread to over 1,200 acres, left neighborhoods deserted as evacuation orders were issued. Guttenberg sprang into action, assisting firefighters by moving abandoned cars on Sunset Boulevard. “It’s like Zombieland,” he told Fox News Digital. “Cars are everywhere, but no keys left behind. Fire trucks can’t get through, so I helped clear the way.”

Guttenberg described the fire as the largest he’d ever seen in the area. “It’s a ghost town,” he said. “Everyone’s evacuated, which is exactly what should happen during a fire like this.” His selfless efforts underscored the community’s resilience during the crisis.

Actor James Woods, 77, also took to social media, documenting the fire’s progression near his home. Sharing harrowing images of the flames, Woods expressed gratitude to the Los Angeles Fire Department for their tireless efforts. Although he safely evacuated, Woods remained uncertain if his property had survived, noting that homes on his street were destroyed.

Other celebrities, including Maria Shriver, Molly Sims, and Spencer Pratt, shared updates on social media, urging prayers and assistance for those affected. Sims posted from an evacuated area, saying, “This is my backyard. Please help your neighbors and families.”

The blaze also disrupted Hollywood events, with Amazon Studios canceling the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s latest film, Unstoppable, citing safety concerns amid extreme wind activity fueling the flames.

As firefighters battle the inferno and winds threaten to worsen conditions, Guttenberg’s actions and the community’s collaborative spirit highlight the bravery and unity in the face of natural disasters. Stay safe, Los Angeles.
