Pedro Pascal Shows Off Trimmed Figure After Wrapping Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps Filming
Pedro Pascal, known for his roles in The Last of Us and other blockbuster hits, was spotted on January 7, 2025, leaving the gym in excellent shape following an intense workout. The 49-year-old actor, who has been preparing for his role as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Marvel’s The Fantastic Four: First Steps, was seen wearing a black T-shirt and basketball shorts, looking noticeably fit. This appearance comes after he completed filming for the highly anticipated movie, which began in late July and wrapped up in November 2024 at London’s Pinewood Studios. Additional scenes were shot in Oviedo, Spain.
In The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Pascal plays Reed Richards, a character who gains elastic powers to become Mr. Fantastic after he and his fellow team members—Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm—are exposed to cosmic rays during a space mission. The movie’s cast was officially revealed in February 2024 by Marvel Studios through a social media post, announcing Pascal alongside Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as part of the iconic team.
Kirby portrays Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Quinn plays Johnny Storm (Human Torch), and Moss-Bachrach takes on the role of Ben Grimm (The Thing). The cast and production team, including Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige and Director Matt Shakman, teased the movie at San Diego Comic-Con, with Pascal describing his fellow actors as his “New family.” The film promises to capture the joyful spirit of the original comics, as noted by Kirby.
Pascal’s recent projects also include starring in Gladiator II, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2000 film. He plays Roman warrior Marcus Acacius opposite Paul Mescal. The film is expected to release in November 2024, while The Fantastic Four: First Steps will hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
