Pike Systems, Inc. has opened a new 98,000 sq. ft. distribution hub and learning center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Pike Systems carries a full line of commercial and institutional cleaning products and personal protective equipment (PPEs), serving the education, healthcare and industrial sectors with a focus on servicing schools, hospitals & clinics, hotels, manufacturers, and professional cleaning contractors. Carolyn Quinn, President and CEO of Pike Systems, commented, “We are delighted to announce the opening of our new Mt. Vernon distribution hub and learning center. Thanks to the diligent effort of our operations team, the Jefferson County Development Corporation and King City Property Brokers amidst the COVID-19 backdrop, our capabilities to expand in strategic markets have never been greater.”
“We are pleased to welcome Pike Systems, Inc. to Mt. Vernon,” stated Mayor John Lewis. “The infrastructure of our community and location in relation to the interstates make Mt. Vernon the perfect place for a regional distribution hub and learning center. We look forward to Pike being an active and integral part of the Mt. Vernon community.” The building will function as a warehouse and distribution center for new and existing customers, while also aiding in the development of Pike Systems’ dedication to education and collaboration for their clients and employees. Business partners will also have the opportunity to use the space for their own continuing education and meetings. Tony Iriti, Executive Director of the Jefferson County Development Corporation, said, “The Pike Systems expansion is a big win for the entire region. I am proud that Pike chose to invest here and offer jobs for the community. I am excited about this partnership and the positive impact it will have for the region.” Deb Smith, managing broker and owner of King City Property Brokers, whose office brokered this transaction, echoed the sentiments of JCDC’s Iriti. “We also take pride in initiating and completing another win/win for the Mt. Vernon area.”
“The opening of the Mt. Vernon distribution hub and learning center will allow Pike Systems to more efficiently enhance services to existing customers in northern Illinois, while providing access to new markets in central and southern Illinois,” states Quinn. “In the future, we also hope to open our doors to local businesses and partners as meeting and event space.” Pike Systems is an independent, woman-owned business headquartered in Montgomery, IL.
