Donald Trump made a comment on Sunday that got a lot of people talking. While addressing a crowd of MAGA supporters at Turning Point USA’s AmFest conference, he strongly pushed back on rumors that Elon Musk was somehow running the country. Trump was quick to say, “No, he’s not going to be president. And I’m safe. You know why? He wasn’t born in this country.”
This remark quickly went viral, sparking plenty of reactions. Scott Dworkin, the co-founder of The Democratic Coalition, joked that it pretty much confirmed Musk as the “President-Elect.”
Meanwhile, the satirical account Mrs. Betty Bowers had her own take, pointing out two things: First, that the whole “President Musk” talk was clearly getting to Trump. And second, that it must’ve been a bit of an insult to JD Vance.
Artist Art Candee chimed in, sarcastically dubbing Musk the “President-elect” of the country.
Eric Columbus, who worked under Obama, couldn’t help but remind everyone that the last person Trump questioned about their birthplace ended up serving two terms as president.
The Lincoln Project, a group of Republicans who oppose Trump, had a pretty blunt response, saying, “No previous president-elect has ever had to say this.” They added, “He’s weak.”
It seems like Trump’s comments stirred up more than just a few laughs and snarky remarks!
