Paul Harris Fellows honored
MT. VERNON — The Mt. Vernon Rotary Club recently held its semi-annual recognition ceremony for members who reached milestone levels of giving to the Rotary Foundation. More than $88,000 in donations to the Rotary Foundation can be correlated to the 25 Rotarians who attained various Paul Harris Fellow levels.
Janice Alka, district governor for District 6510, was in attendance to present pins and District 6510 Foundation Chair Lanny Lenker talked to the club about the benefits the Rotary Foundation provides around the world. The mission of the Rotary Foundation is “to enable Rotarians to advance World Understanding, Goodwill and Peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.”
