Odin High School Students Receive Board of Trustee Scholarships To Attend KC

June 30, 2020

Kaskaskia College is proud to announce that Odin High School students, Morgan Hawkins and Nikki Duncan, will each receive a Board of Trustee Scholarship to attend Kaskaskia College for the 2020-21 school year. The award provides the student with full tuition for up to two years.

Morgan is the daughter of Dearl Hawkins and plans to obtain an Associate Degree in Nursing and work in OB/GYN. Nikki is the daughter of Sarah and Allen Duncan and also has plans to obtain an Associate Degree in Nursing

Morgan says of her choice to attend Kaskaskia, “I chose to start my education at Kaskaskia College because of their excellent nursing program, helpful staff, awesome teachers, and the amazing opportunities that are close to home. Kaskaskia allows you to save money while earning your associate’s degree, and better prepares you for a 4-year university opposed to attending the 4 year straight out of high school. It is an awesome community to be a part of and after just finishing my first full-time semester, I can say that I love it! I’ve also thoroughly enjoyed interning for Mrs. Susan Bachelor and Terri Sanders and am look forward to it these coming semesters.

Nikki adds, “I chose to continue my education through Kaskaskia College because of all the great things that are said about the college along with it being close to home. I also made my decision based on the fact that anytime I have been on campus for any event everyone has always been welcoming and I truly appreciate the atmosphere that is created there.
