KC Basketball Players Named To Region 24 And GRAC Team

Kaskaskia College sophomore basketball player Elijah Watson of the Blue Devils and freshmen Jadah Anderson and Lajanea Kimbrough of the Blue Angels were named to the Region 24 and GRAC Teams.
Elijah Watson (Chicago) was a transfer student from the University of Texas Pan American (UTPA) and attended St. Patrick’s High School in Chicago.
Watson averaged 15.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game.
KC Coach Brian Hancock says, “Elijah was a very consistent force throughout the season for the Blue Devils. He brought a toughness that allowed him to compete at both ends of the floor. I am very excited that he was recognized as an All-Region and All-Conference player”.
The Blue Devils finished the season with a 20-12 record and 6th place in the Region standings.
Jadah Anderson (Ypsilanti, MI) averaged 15 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2 steals per game. KC Coach Adam Esses says, “Jadah was our point guard who led us in scoring and assists. She is a tremendous competitor who can play at a very high level. She was vital to our success this season as we took 4th place in our District this year.”
Lajanea Kimbrough (Indianapolis) averaged 14.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2 assists and had a free throw percentage of 80.2%. Esses says of Kimbrough, “Lajanea is well deserving of this honor as she did a fantastic job for the program in her first season here. Not only could she score, but she was a great rebounder and one of our best defenders. She worked extremely hard all season long.”
The Blue Angels finished 4th in Region 24 with a 9-9 record, 13-18 overall. To end the season, the Blue Angels won 7 of 9 games as they advanced to the Region 24 Semifinals.
