Politically Speaking September-18-2019

September 19, 2019

Friday morning I started reading a message from a dear friend (after watching the Democratic debate held in Houston). Her question was, “Did you enjoy yourself watching the Democrats fall off the cliff last night?” The answer was no!

It was the same old, same old, an instant replay of their previous nonsense.
My usual response is, “I’ll have to write so I have to watch.” The realistic fact is, from Democratic debate to Democratic debate the insanity continues, centered around free stuff including healthcare, medicare for all, and free college, plus gun control, racism, racism and racism!

On the September 12 debate stage, nothing came out of Skateboard Beto’s mouth other than a mandatory buy back on AR-15s and AK-47s, and that was to create a new office in the White House to fight white supremacy.
Folks, it’s called common decency. Most of us get that. We don’t need a White House office for white supremacy.

At any rate, the slate during the debate, 10 in all, included from Joe Biden to Elizabeth Warren. In my opinion, not one is worth wasting a vote on. The fact is Joe Biden wouldn’t be in the running if Donald Trump wasn’t the President today. Clearly Trump is the winner of the first three Democratic debates!

But as someone else said that watched the debate, if that’s all the Democrats have, they need to give it up, because Trump will win in 2020. That came from a young millennial and a Democrat. He finished by saying, “I’ll be voting for Trump!”

But with all that said, an hour after the debate there was an interesting turn of events in response to Beto’s comment of, “Hell, yes, we’re going to take your AR-15s and your AK-47s.” Allegedly, Beto received a “death threat,” according to him, from fellow Texas politician Briscoe Cain, a Republican member of the Texas House of Representatives, who tweeted to Beto using his legal name saying, “My ARs are ready for you Robert Francis.” A spokeswoman for O’Rourke’s campaign told the Washington Post that staffers had reported the tweet to the FBI.

But in the meantime, Beto is making hay while the sun shines by selling t-shirts for $30 each that say, “Hell yes, we‘re gonna take your AR-15.”
Beto also said Friday morning on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, referring to gun control, “It’s mandatory. It will be law. You will be required to comply with the law.”

Beto’s proposal has widespread support among Democrats nationally; 74% support a mandatory buyback program, compared with 31% of Republicans, according to a Washington Post ABC News poll.
The third Democratic debate also offered a few sharp jabs exchanged among the ten leading candidates. In particular, Julian Castro accused Joe Biden of contradicting himself and questioned whether his memory was faltering, and later slammed Biden for embracing his role in the Obama Administration.

Another standout moment was Warren, when asked again about whether middle class taxes would be raised to pay for her plan, she did not answer the question. Corporations and the nation’s wealthiest would pay more, she claimed.

As far as Socialist Sanders was concerned, Biden had understated the cost of Medicare for all. Sanders’ vision of healthcare would “eliminate all out of pocket expenses, all deductibles, all payments, and nobody would pay more than $200 per year in prescriptions. After all, he said he wrote the damn thing.”

Sanders, as well as the other nine, doesn’t have a clue on reality.
I wonder if Sanders will have an answer when the good doctors and medical people walk away, and there won’t be pharmacies except government-owned ones. Good gosh, people, wake up!
Until next week
