July 21, 2020

Let me start this week with the news that President Trump commuted the sentence of longtime friend Roger Stone. Absent a full pardon, Stone barely avoided prison time and was set to go to prison on July 14. The statement from the White House Press Secretary said the President signed the “Executive Grant of Clemency” commuting the unjust sentence and called Roger Stone a victim of the Russian hoax that the extreme left and its allies in the media perpetuated for years in an attempt to undermine Trump.

The way this less-than-fair trial was carried out is another example of the left’s attempt to take control of this entire country.

Fortunately, Roger Stone, Jr. is now a free man! Don’t be surprised if Stone doesn’t pursue two appeals that were filed on his convictions. They probably expose an enormous amount of corruption in his trial. Imagine that!

So how did Joe Biden react? Through a statement from Bill Russo of Biden’s campaign, he said, “President Trump has once again abused his power, releasing the commutation, hoping again to avoid scrutiny as he lays waste to the norms.” He continued to say, “He will only be stopped when Americans make their voices heard at the ballot box this fall. Enough.”

And to the last word, “enough,” I agree. Enough is enough. For those of us that get it, we’ve definitely had enough. The bottom line is commutation for Stone was “the President’s prerogative.”

But let’s set the record straight, as well as the hypocrisy going on. Trump has so far granted 26 pardons and commuted the sentences of 10 individuals since taking office. Among the first to be pardoned was former Sheriff Joe Arpaio in August of 2017. Another one was the conservative filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza who wrote and produced Hillary’s America, among other films telling the truth.

While those of you that are proud to claim President Barack Obama is perfect, he set a record in commutations at 1,715 by his final day in office, with 140 in the last few days, which is more than any President has ever granted.

So while Trump faced blow back from Roger Stone’s commutation, the left never found fault with Obama. I call that a double standard. Actually, I have better words that aren’t printable.

And while we’re on double standards, why not look at Goya and its CEO. When CEO Bob Unanue praised President Trump the same way he praised President Barack Obama, the left called for a boycott against Goya, the largest Hispanic minority group food manufacturer and distributor in the nation, a company that employs more than 4,000 people.

Many now are calling for a Goya BUYcott (buy and try the product). I’ll guarantee you not one rocket scientist on the left thought about the hundreds of thousands of stores all over the country that sell Goya products, a staple of the Hispanic dining table, nor did they think about the thousands of workers Goya employs. Goya is a job generator, but the left doesn’t care because it’s all about hating and beating Trump!

Yet when the CEO of Goya said kind things about Obama that was acceptable.

Keep in mind that people have a right to speak their mind… as long as they aren’t Republicans or conservatives. The boycotters of Goya want to eliminate that right by enforcing political conformity on many of us, especially those of us that can’t be lead around by the corruption of the left.

If 2020 hasn’t taught you anything, there’s no saving you. But don’t take the rest of us down with you.

Keep voting the same way and you’ll keep getting the same thing.

Last but not least, we are sending prayers to the families of Congressman John Lewis, 80, and Minister C.T. Vivian, 95, both civil rights leaders.

Until next week.
