Politically Speaking August 21, 2019
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has banned two U.S. representatives from visiting Israel after they expressed on more than one occasion their apparent hate of Israel and the Jewish people. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib, (D-MI) are the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. Omar and Tlaib had planned to travel to Jerusalem and the West Bank, among other stops, last weekend.
In a tweet last Thursday, the Prime Minister said, “Congresswomen Tlaib and Omar are leading activists in promoting boycott legislation against Israel in the U.S. Congress.” And to that I agree. Netanyahu continued to say, “Only a few days (prior to their planned visit) we received their visitation plan and that they were planning a campaign whose sole purpose was to strengthen the boycott and negate Israel’s legitimacy.”
In spite of what both Congresswomen said, there are a number of pros and cons on the Prime Minister’s decision.
However, adding fuel to the fire, after being barred from entering Israel last Thursday Rashida Tlaib submitted a humanitarian request to visit her aging grandmother in the West Bank, and it was approved by Israel’s Interior Minister.
But on Friday morning, August 16 Tlaib changed her mind, saying in the end she could not enter Israel “under these oppressive conditions.”
In my opinion, if the goal was to see her 90-year-old grandmother for the last time, she would have gone had that been her sole purpose. But I’m of the opinion that her goal was to continue to spew her hatred of Israel and the Prime Minister, who is in the middle of a re-election battle.
I go back to the fact that although it’s not a perfect relationship, Israel has been and remains a longtime friend and ally of the U.S.
I believe Rashida Tlaib used her elderly grandmother as an excuse to be a trojan horse.
She, Ilhan Omar, AOC, and Ayanna Pressley are known as the gang of four, the new face of the Democratic Party. These four have sparred with not just Trump and other Republicans but also Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House to drive the Democratic Party leftward.
On to Jeffrey Epstein. Early last Friday evening it was ruled by the New York medical examiner that Jeffrey Epstein hanged himself in a jail cell. The death was ruled a suicide. While this happened in New York, it just so happens a lot is going on in Washington, D.C., with five separate investigations going on.
Jeffrey Epstein had multiple fractures of the neck, one being the hyoid bone, which is usually not a bone fractured in a suicide, but more common in a strangulation. But I also realize Epstein was a 200 pound man, and if he threw himself off the top bunk by lunging forward with great force it’s possible. But the fact still remains, he had been guarded by two substitute guards who didn’t do frequent checks. In other words, he wasn’t being monitored, which is unusual in a prison with high profile criminals.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize there must have been a crime problem in this high security jail, or this whole thing was a setup.
This case is a prime example of a few things:
1) The corruption that goes on in Washington.
2) Complete government failure that stems way back. Yet the left wants the government to be in charge of everything, healthcare included.
God help us!
Until next week.
