Lt. Governor Sanguinetti Met with Local Republicans

June 13, 2017
Last night Lt. Governor Evelyn Sanguinetti met with leaders, candidates, and volunteers from seven southern Illinois counties (Marion, Jefferson, Franklin, Johnson, St. Clair, Randolph, and Williamson) to talk about how important it is for people to get involved at the grassroots level with the democratic process to help get more good people elected to the legislature to turn around the fiscal crisis in Illinois. The group heard from State Representatives Terri Bryant of Murphysboro and Dave Severin of Benton and State Senator Dale Fowler of Harrisburg. They all spoke about the need for a full and balanced budget to get our state moving in a better direction and the great assets we have in southern Illinois to promote tourism and help get the economy growing again. The need for fair legislative maps and electing more Republicans to fight for sensible spending to help our schools, colleges, and social services for the truly needy is crucial.
