MT. VERNON, IL (March 29, 2019) – Jeremy Bradford has been appointed to the position of President, SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital-Mt. Vernon. Prior to his newly-appointed role, Mr. Bradford had been serving as Interim President of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital since January 21, 2019.

Bradford possesses more than 19 years of health care executive leadership experience and is excited to lead Good Samaritan Hospital in its service to Mt. Vernon and surrounding communities. “I am extremely excited to serve the community through my new role as President of Good Samaritan Hospital. I look forward to partnering with our physicians, providers, staff, volunteers and boards to further the mission of the organization,” Bradford said.

Mr. Bradford originally joined SSM Health in Southern Illinois as Regional Vice President of Operations in March 2018 – which, among other duties, included assisting in day-to-day operational leadership of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital and SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Centralia.

Immediately before his tenure began with SSM Health, Mr. Bradford served as the Senior Vice President of Operations and President of North Brevard Medical Support, Inc., for Parrish Healthcare in Titusville, FL. Prior to that, he also held the positions of Vice President of Operations, Outpatient Services and Business Development, as well as Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Parrish Healthcare dating back to August 2013. Mr. Bradford has also served in executive leadership positions in hospitals and ancillary service providers throughout Kentucky.

Collectively, Bradford’s senior leadership experience within different sectors of health care has encompassed clinical and non-clinical areas including: ambulatory and ancillary services; business development; hospice and palliative care; hospital and clinic operations; long term care and rehabilitation services; and physician practice management.

Kerry Swanson, Regional President, SSM Health in Southern Illinois, says Bradford has demonstrated executive leadership through an exemplary display of accessibility both inside the hospital as well as in the southern Illinois region. “Jeremy’s visibility throughout Good Samaritan Hospital has enabled him to strengthen relationships and connections with physicians, providers, and staff in every department,” Swanson said. “Jeremy has a deep commitment to our health care ministry to ensure that Good Samaritan Hospital provides an exceptional experience and exceptional value to everyone.”
