White speaks at Rotary
Wes White, left, was welcomed by Mt. Vernon Rotary President Jim Flagg to a recent meeting. White spoke about his travels to Japan as part of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, which enabled him to live in Japan for a year. White stayed with three different host families during his year abroad. He attended a school for boys where he helped teach English. He said one of his favorite places to go was Electric City, also known as Akihoboro. He also said he hopes to return to Japan in the future to revisit some of the sites and reconnect with his host family and friends he made during his stay.
