Do you want to do more than wear a mask to battle COVID-19? This is your opportunity to contribute to the battle against the coronavirus. Saint Louis University Center for Vaccine Development is seeking volunteers to participate in a COVID-19 vaccine Phase 3 safety trial. The coronavirus can cause serious breathing problems and sometimes death.

Volunteers for the National Institute for Health-sponsored study must be 18 years of age or older and considered high risk. Those at greatest risk are essential workers, African Americans, Latin Americans and those living in a home or apartment with several people.

The study is an opportunity for people locally to contribute to the battle against the coronavirus and the pandemic. Saint Louis University is one of 90 sites participating in the safety trial.

The Center for Vaccine Development is seeking volunteers for the placebo-controlled trial. Participants will be paid $100 for each scheduled office visit and $25 for each safety phone call.

To learn more or to sign up for the trial, visit the SLU vaccine center webpage: vaccine.slu.edu.
