Straw Bale Gardens, An Option For Gardening In A Small Space

Interested in gardening, but don’t have much space? A straw bale garden might be a good fit.  Illinois Extension will host a Straw Bale Gardening program on February 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Marion County Extension Office in Salem. 
Learn tips and tricks from Perry White, as he takes you through his experiences will four different types of straw bale gardens. White is a staff member at Marion County Housing Authority and maintains the straw bale gardens there. Illinois Extension Program Coordinator, Chris Lueking, was also involved in the Housing Authority Straw Bale Gardening project and will be on hand to answer questions as well.
