Javiera Torrre Alba, a participant in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, was the guest speaker at a recent Rotary Club of Mt. Vernon weekly meeting. Ms. Alba, from Chillan, Chili, who is staying with a host family in Mt. Vernon, reported the goal of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program is to promote the advancement of international understanding, goodwill and peace at the person to person to level. It is open to high school students aged 16 to 18 who are interested in living and studying abroad for one year.
