Photographer Presents MVTHS History Program to Rotary

April 18, 2018
Memories of the original Mount Vernon Township High School, captured in photographs, was the topic of discussion at this week’s Rotary Club of Mount Vernon club meeting.  Drew Stubblefield, professional photographer and owner of Andrews Portraits, showcased his new book, “Remembering Mount Vernon Township High School,”  that highlights remembrances  of the campus.  Given free rein to meander through abandoned halls and classrooms Stubblefield reported alumni will be able to view images like the girl’s and boy’s gymnasiums with the scoreboards still bordered by championship banners, the band hall with uniforms idly hanging on a rack and music books waiting  to be used and the chemistry lab with partially filled beakers.
The publication is available for purchase by visiting Andrews Portraits at with a portion of proceeds going to the Mount Vernon Township High School Foundation.
Also pictured thanking the speaker is Rotary President Sandy Sinnett.
