Macz Funeral Home holds Tree of Remembrance service
On Sunday, November 3, Macz Funeral Homes held their Tree of Remembrance Service at Foundation Park. Nearly 100 people were in attendance and over 50 memory trees will be illuminated this holiday season.
In attendance at the service were Rev. Ron Johnson, Rev. Paula Comper, and Chaplain Joannie Naraghi to share a comforting message for those who have experienced a loss this past year. Morgan Isaiah closed the ceremony with the song, “Stand By Me” as Traci Macz shared the importance of reaching out to your friend who needs comfort during the holidays.
Families at the service were asked to build a tree of their choice or place the memorial marker with their loved one’s name at the base of a pre-built tree.
Macz Funeral Homes’ Tree of Remembrance Service is a two part program. The families in attendance will be given the opportunity in the spring to plant a tree at the former South Shore State Park in Huey.
