The Centralia Rotary Clubs of Centralia have announced a major fundraising effort–“ Let There Be Lights ” for Rotary Park in Centralia. Projected costs to light two baseball and two softball fields are $300,000. One of the fundraising projects is advertising signs to be placed on the fields featuring area businesses. Currently members of the lighting committee are visiting businesses and individuals seeking participants.

One upcoming event is a Fun Night-Dance to be held at the Centralia Elks on Saturday, November 2nd. Social Hour will start at 7pm with the dance and games to follow at 8pm. Local bands will be featured and fun activities are being planned. Drawings will be held to give away great prizes such as St. Louis Rams and St. Louis Blues Tickets, and All Sports Passes for the Centralia Orphans.

Tickets are available from any Rotary Member. For more information, contact Debra Elling at 292-3962 or Greg Dodson at 214-0087.

If you would like to be a part of these exciting activities, or if your business would like to have one of the advertising signs in the park, please contact one of the Centralia Rotary Club Members. The Morning Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at 7 am at the Downtown Lounge and the Noon Rotary Club meets every Monday at noon at the Elks Lodge. You are more than welcome to attend.
