KC Holds Physical Therapy Assistant Program Advisory Meeting

The Kaskaskia College Physical Therapist Assistant Program held its annual advisory committee meeting on March 26. The committee is comprised of Kaskaskia College faculty, college leadership, and leadership from area healthcare organizations. The role of the PTA Program Advisory Committee is to serve as a stakeholder advising on the development, implementation, and evaluation of the PTA program to meet the workforce requirement of the community while addressing student needs. Advisory members in attendance received updates on current enrollment, curriculum changes, program, faculty and student learning outcomes, and opportunities for continued quality improvement.

Those attending the meeting were: 1st row – Barb Tuncil, PT, Physical Therapy Services at St. Elizabeth’s in O’Fallon and Adjunct Faculty; Cheryl Rushing, PT, Faculty; Michelle Wessel, PT, MHA, Program Coordinator; Natalie Beem, PTA, Kaskaskia College Special Education District. In back is Jordan Coffey, Coordinator of Career Services & Student Engagement; Bradley Tiemann, PTA, Kaskaskia College Special Education District; Mystee Johnson, PTA, St. Mary’s Hospital; Julie Obermark, MSN, RN, Dean of Allied Health; Matt Woods, PTA, LMT Kaskaskia College Special Education District.
