Join the Kaskaskia College Music Department for their second concert of the 2018-2019 season!  The Fall Choir Concert will be held Monday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Jane Knight Auditorium  The concert will feature the Kaskaskia College Concert Choir and KC Blues, under the direction of Professor Lynda Marshall as well as the Vandalia High School Choir under the direction of Thomas Fulton.   The concert will open with combined choirs and guest percussionists performing a South African celebration song. Each individual choir will be performing selections of choral music in varying styles ranging from an Irish dance tune to a contemporary setting of “Let it Be” originally recorded by the Beatles. The combined choirs will conclude the concert with a unique song, “Desh,” an Indian raga.  According to Professor Lynda Marshall, “the KC students are looking forward to collaborating with local high school students to produce unique, lifelong musical experiences that are very special to not only the performers, but those in attendance.”  The concert is free and open to the public.
