Kaskaskia College Dairy Judging Team Wins All-American Dairy Show
The Kaskaskia College Dairy Judging has recently took first place in the All-American Dairy Show.
The KC Team was first in Ayrshires, Brown Swiss, and Holsteins, 2nd in Guernseys, and 3rd in Jerseys. They also won first in Oral Reasons and was first Overall in the competition.
Individually, students Cady McGehee (Okeechobee, FL) finished third; Alex Walden (Mode) was 4th, Brock Irwin (Belvidere) was 5th, and Patrick Tegeler (Effingham) finished13th.
KC Agriculture Professor, Aaron Heinzmann says of his team, “This contest featured some of the top teams in the nation. I was very proud of their preparation for the contest. We had many breeders that helped us prepare and practice for our fall judging season, and we send our sincerest thank you to them. We are happy to share our win with all those who help to get us ready”.
