Jeremy Bradford elected to Illinois Health and Hospital Association board of trustees
Jeremy Bradford, President, SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital–Mt. Vernon, has been elected to the Illinois Health and Hospital Association’s (IHA) 2020 Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is the policymaking body for the Association, which represents more than 200 hospitals and nearly 50 health systems across Illinois.
Bradford will serve a three-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2020.
Possessing more than 20 years of health care executive leadership experience, Bradford says, “It is an honor and a privilege to be elected to this board and a responsibility I hold with reverence. This is an opportunity to impact health care and truly help the patients and families served across the great state of Illinois.”
Mr. Bradford originally joined SSM Health in Southern Illinois as Regional Vice President of Operations in March 2018 and was appointed to the position of Interim President of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in January 2019. He was named President of SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in March 2019.
Immediately before his tenure began with SSM Health, Mr. Bradford served as the Senior Vice President of Operations and President of North Brevard Medical Support, Inc., for Parrish Healthcare in Titusville, FL. Prior to that, he also held the positions of Vice President of Operations, Outpatient Services and Business Development, as well as Vice President of Ambulatory Services for Parrish Healthcare dating back to August 2013. Mr. Bradford has also served in executive leadership positions in hospitals and ancillary service providers throughout Kentucky.
Collectively, Bradford’s senior leadership experience within different sectors of health care has encompassed clinical and non-clinical areas including: ambulatory and ancillary services; business development; hospice and palliative care; hospital and clinic operations; long term care and rehabilitation services; and physician practice management.
The IHA Board of Trustees is made up of 28 trustees, elected by the voting members of the Association, five officers (chair, chair-elect, immediate past chair, treasurer, and secretary) and the Association’s president and CEO. Constituency sections, councils and ad hoc task forces provide members with opportunities to participate in the Association’s policy development process.
