Jefferson County Youth Livestock Events

The Jefferson County 4-H Youth Livestock Auction Committee is hosting a 4-H Livestock Judging Contest on June 9 at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds at Ina.  There will be two divisions: Juniors (8 to 13) and Senior (14-18).  Both divisions will be non-reasons. 
Cost is $10 per team. A full team will be four members (count three). Checks can be payable to the Jefferson County 4-H Youth Livestock Committee.

In the afternoon of June 9 Jefferson County 4-H is hosting a 4-H Showmanship Clinic for youth learning to show livestock projects.  This workshop is open to all youth between the ages of 8 and 19, 4-H membership is not required. Cost for the workshop is $5 for youth not currently enrolled in 4-H. Youth who are active 4-H members may attend for free.  

Beef, swine, goats, sheep, rabbits and poultry will be covered. Youth are welcome to bring their show animals (excluding swine).
Both activities will be held at the Jefferson County 4-H Fairgrounds outside of Ina.  Advance registration is required for both events by June 1.  Registration can be found online at or by calling 618-242-0780.
